The votes are counted, the poll is closed and we have our winners.
Congratulations to Deby who took both first and second place! In first place was her gorgeous Tealight holder (even with a late start) and her stunning black, white and ice blue creation took second place.
Here’s a closer look:
Well done Deby, these are both truly scrumptious.
In third place we have Cazzie’s very original take on Christmas, using the Peacock Lady in traditional red and green:
Cazzie, that’s a lovely card and it’s great to see a twist on a traditional theme.
Now I originally said I would award three prizes, but as Deby has won first and second place, I am going to actually award a fourth place prize as well and that goes to Lavender Breeze for her soft green damask card
Lavender, that is a very classy card with lovely soft colours (plus I’m a sucker for pearls).
So ladies, congratulations and thank you ALL for taking part. Please give yourself a congratulatory pat on the back and a group cyberhug – you deserve it.
I do have more challenges up my sleeve (with prizes) so watch this space.
Deby, Cazzie and Lavender – can you all email me and tell me which of the three Christmas stamp sets you would like as your prize (Deby, you can choose two).
Meanwhile, tonight on Waterworth Health Watch, unconfirmed sources report that a severe toe injury has been added to the slipped disk of Waterworth the Younger. We hear that the affected digit was rammed hard against a bed castor, resulting in a bruise resembling Adirondack inkpad colours such as Eggplant, Raisin and Currant with a large blister in a fetching shade of Cranberry. The patient has welcomed the injury as it has taken his mind off his back, though he would like to apologise to blog readers in opposite time zones around the world who may have been awoken by the scream.
Waterworth the Elder is reported to be in a stable condition and none the worse for yesterday’s joy riding incident. Police are not bringing charges.
All other Waterworths are doing as well as can be expected and the outlook is for sunny smiles with the odd chance of a chocolate outbreak in North Eastern areas.

congratulations everyone _ had a private bet with myself that Deby’s tealight would win!
Enjoy the stamps!
thanks for the update on the invalids – hope Alma is ok
Congratulations to the winners, very well deserved, as the cards were beautiful. Deby’s tealight was a work of art, thought it would steal the show too.
Poor Adrian, he is really in the wars at the moment. Hope the back and the toe are better very soon.
Sue
Many, many congratulations Deby and Cazzie, what gorgeous pieces of work. Congratulations to everyone else who took part as well, what a fabulous bunch of crafters you are.
I am completely stunned to have won 4th place – thank you to everyone who voted for my card and to Glenda for your very generous prizes. I’m grinning from ear to ear lol.

Absolutely fantastic well deserving winners!
My personal favourites all although the competition was very stiff. Enjoy your prizes.
Sorry I’ve not commented over last few days but had house full of visitors. Really hope the Waterworth boys are on the mend and love your positive outlook.
Finally thanks to you and Lynn for a brilliant workshop last Friday and hope you’ve managed to catch up on some sleep since then.

Well done to the winners and to everyone who took part. All the entries were great. Well done also to Glenda for giving the wonderful prizes.
Love Cynthia x
Well done to all the winners – stunning work – loved entering my first ever competition and starting up my blog to share it – maybe next time I can read the rules before jumping in !!!
Well wishes to all the family that are suffering at the moment
Suzanne
I am so pleased, those were my four favourites, although the others were beautiful, too. Well done to them all. I hope the health situation improves soon (do these things come in threes? If so, you are fine now, touch wood!)
Hi Glenda
Well done everyone you richly deserve your prizes. Please give my regards to the invalid Glenda and say I hope he will soon feel better. Mine has started milking it a bit now which tells me he is on the mend.
I have been meaning to ask you Glenda if you or any of your readers know of any craft shops in New York. I have discovered that we are allowed 2 suitcases each on the plane back and we can’t let all that space go to waste now can we?
Luv u lots Dot
[...] and thoroughly delighted to have won 4th prize in Glenda’s Christmas Challenge, (entries),(results), this is the first time that I’ve won anything for crafting and I’m totally made [...]
Well done to the winners and all those who took part – I had a terrible job deciding which ones to vote for.
On the Waterworth health watch front Glenda – have you ever thought of writing for TV??? Apologies to Adrian, but your description of the stubbed toe had me crying with laughter!
Ann x
Well done Deby, I didn’t vote but if I had have done you would have got my vote too…stamping on glass is now on my project list so thanks for the inspiration. Tnanks also to everybody who voted for my card, its given me a real boost.
Carolyn
Congratulations to all the winners, it was so very hard to choose just three out of so many outstanding cards! And empathy and hugs to Adrian, as if a bad back wasn’t enough. I am glad to hear all other members of the family are disaster free at present and definitely recommend the chocolate cure as it always works for me. The key is to forget moderation and really go for the whole box! Best regards and hugs to all, especially the boys.
Well done to the winners, fabulous creations!!!!! Sorry to hear about Adrian’s toe but had to laugh at the description of the bruising LOL!
Congratulations to all the winners! Beautiful work from you all.
Oh Glenda, I shouldn’t laugh but your commentary on the Waterworth health watch had me in stitches (no pun intended!) lol
I hope Adrian’s feeling better soon. I know how painful a sore back can be. Yikes!
Congratulations to all the winners! I have to agree with others who commented on the well deserved first place for Deby’s Tealight holder – it’s stunning.
Sorry to hear about Adrian’s assorted ailments, hope he is on the mend soon, but how wonderful to hear that Derrick has felt well enough to drive!
Once again a huge thank you to both yourself and to Lynn for the brilliant workshops at the weekend – I had so much fun and learned a lot too.
Hubby has been remarkably placid about the quantity of new stamps I had squirrled away in the caravan… I did keep emphasising that they were all in the sale or were Guild members special offers and that I had therefore saved a fortune…..dunno if he beleived that tho, so maybe somewhere along the way he managed to take some of Derrick’s Valium
Congratulations to all the winners – well deserved, especially Deby’s tealight holder. A great idea for the Christmas table centrepiece.
Oh Glenda, your tale of Adrian’s toe stubbing incident had me in howls of laughter. Sorry Adrian. Good to hear that Derrick’s feeling well enough to drive. Hope his health continues to improve.
Must agree with Pat’s comment on the chocolate – don’t hold back, Glenda!
Apologies for not replying sooner … just got back off a business trip … not the same kind as Adrians though !!!
Thank you all and I am truely quite humbled
We’re all winners here as there were some fantastic entries with some great ideas and inspiration for us all. In no particular order … I loved Phrees .. very classic , Lavenders was a very stylish card and I for one will be basing her idea for some of my cards this year and Cazzie – beautiful.
Oh I love these group hugs … bigs arms wrapped round you all xxx
And to Waterworth watch … I thought I was reading a script from Scrubs there ! ( tv hospital comedy program on Sky )
I must have laughed out loud as my husband was asking what I was chuckeling at – but it would have taken too long to explain it all ! Only thing is when I use my Adirondacks now I will have the image of Adrians toe in my mind ! but at least it’ll put a smile on my face !
Hope the chocolate downpour was meltilicious x
Glenda …..
Just seen these on Joannas’ ….

Congratulations to the winners. Wow what stunning cards and creatations. Loads of inspiration here.

This has been so such fun, so many lovely entries and every one totally unique. I think Deby’s tea light holder is a corker it sums up the essence of Christmas for me, stunningly executed and a very deserving winner.
On a more serious note under what curse has the Waterworth family fallen? It has been a year of illness, injury and oddness (the episode in the Louvre with an errant schoolboy being one of the oddest perhaps or maybe when the cats took over Adrian’s blog). Obviously even lying in bed has its dangers when bed castors lurk with evil intent. Take care all of you and make sure the house insurance is up to date, you may need it at this rate!
