Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to someone. This is maybe not what you would expect from an Elusive Images stamp, but this is the first of a brand new range of stamps, by a new and very talented designer called Polly Greathead.
His name must remain a mystery for a little longer as we want you to guess what it is. He does have a name already, and he has several friends who will be joining him over the next few months. If you think you know what he might be called, then please leave a comment below and anyone who guesses right will be put in the pot to win a set of the stamps.
I think he has a sweet little face and he stamps up just lovely. He is a joy to colour in with my copic markers too – see, here he is in bright colours.
I used masking on this card, something I will be going into in detail in this month’s Guild newsletter. This was stamped on glossy card and the sea was created with stripes of different shades of blue. I love the way the copics layer – you can really see it in the effect of the waves lapping over the sand. I’ve highlighted the surf with a white inkssentials pen from Ranger.
This one was done with Derwent Inktense pencils and gives a much softer effect, perfect for a baby announcement or congratulations card.
A little bit of shading under the feet grounds him so he’s not floating in mid air. The “boy” word is a Magenta peel off, believe it or not.
See, I can do cute cards with peel offs too!
Anyway, we’d love to know what you think of him, and don’t forget if you want to win a set, take a guess at his name by leaving a comment below. Good luck!
(PS – thanks to all of you who were asking after Derrick at the open days – please send a little positive thinking his way, he’s not very well at the moment and may end up back in hospital if his kidney function doesn’t improve soon. More on the open days to come including pictures of some of the things I was demonstrating. )

A really cute bear and something totally different, plus I haven’t a clue what he could be called so I go with something fairly obvious and say he’s called Barney Bear.
It will be interesting to see what others think.

I think he looks like a Claude!
He looks a little cutie–I did see him on open day but have no idea what he is called. He looks like a Little Ted to me or does he have the look of Adrian??? Joyce
Definately ‘Rick’ cute and cuddly and bundles of fun !!!!!
He looks very cute and I can’t wait to see what his friends look like. With regards to his name – he looks like a ‘Billy’ or a ‘Bertie’ bear to me.
He is cute looks like a Nelson or Horatio excuse spelling if not right
like Joyce, I think he is an Adrian – and i wouldn’t be surprised if he is joined by a Glenda Bear!

COULD BE DERRICK,
He looks like a Cedric to me……!
I think he definitely looks like a Sam – he is very cute. I love the card colours with the Copic pens – another for my wishlist
Love this little ted – he is gorgeous! Looking forward to meeting his freinds too when they are ready. As for a name – well I thought of Barney (Barnard Castle) but nope I don’t think that’s it. For some reason he looks like a William to me so that is my guess – Mr William Bear Esq.
Looks like Sailor Sam to me. Love the sandcastle and the waves. Very summery!
Beary or Barry? He is adorable.
He is very cute. I think he looks like a Bobby Bear.

He’s a real cutie. I would have said Adrian or Basil but will go with Bertie.
Love the way you’ve coloured them both, so bright and cheerful.
xxsue
So cute…I think he’s Horatio…it just looks perfect to me.
Hugs Debbie xx
I’m sure it’s not the right answer, but I would like him to be Sesame Sailor after your beautiful fur baby. Failing that after one of my first kitties, Sindbad the Sailor. Cute stamps. I would guess along with many others that he’ll be a Barney though … S x
Hello Albert (Bertie) when he wants a cuddle!
He’s a gorgeous bear whatever his name.
My thoughts were: Basil, Barney, Bruin, or just plain Teddy. Rather like Teddy to be honest.
Mags
I think he should be called George!
PG Bear……. sooo squidgy!
Sue Bx
I think he might be Billy Bear.
I think he looks like a Barnaby!

Just had a thought… could be GreatTed
Some fantastic suggestions coming in, but no one has guessed it yet. Suzi, GreatTed is brilliant, I can’t believe we didn’t think of that!
We did think of Barny or Barnaby, but nope, that’s not it, though he does live in Bearnard Castle of course.
Keep on guessing – if no one has got it by the weekend I’ll have to start giving out little clues.
Glenda
Could he be a Noah?
Well, ‘Seaside Ted’ appears on his photo – could this really be his name? It’s a lovely name for him anyway and very apt. Best wishes. Lynne
Another guess? Well I am going with Teddy Edward then. He is so cute whatever his name is and when you tell us we certainly wont forget will we?
Hi, I think his name is Sailor. He’s very cute!
If we can have second guesses how about Fred bear, or even Bruno Bear.
I do think when we finally know his name there will be a collective ‘ohhhhh of course’ and we’ll all wonder why we didn’t say it straight way, hindsight being what it is.
Jan
Teddylicious?
Oooh more must have stamps. I am off to the sea next week. I think he looks like he should be called charlie bear

Very cute teddy….I think he’s a Theo!
OK, first clue as no one is even close yet. The name has some connection with the North East of England.
Glenda
Is he Bamborough? (After my favourite place in the whole of UK)
Could he be Geordie Bear?
He couldn’t be Hadrian could he?
Think I need more clues .. how about Tees Ted, Jarra Ted.. be great if he was called Blyth… tee hee
How about Blaydon Bear? Sounds very regal to me!!
We need more clues-but Geordie is good.
